Another boy bit the dust last night on American Idol.
Devin Velez exited the competition during Thursday’s results show after learning he had received the lowest amount of America’s votes. He was joined in the bottom three by the other two guys remaining in the competition, Lazaro Arbos and Burnell Taylor.

Devin received positive feedback all around from the judges after his performance of “Tracks Of My Tears” during Wednesday’s Motor City music theme night. “You’ve got such great style,” Keith Urban told Devin following his performance. “That was an amazing job tonight.” Nicki Minaj said. “I love every single choice you made…Yes sir!” “Devin is back tonight, y’all!” Randy Jackson declared. “This was flawless from you,” Mariah Carey closed with.

In a bid to earn the judges’ sole save of the season, Devin performed a heartfelt, Spanglish rendition of “It’s Impossible,” but to no avail.
Seven singers remain in the competition, including all five girls. They are: Lazaro Arbos, Burnell Taylor, Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Janelle Arthur and Kree Harrison.
