Alex Baldwin Proves Politics Really Does Make Gay Bedfellows ...

Alec Baldwin has irked conservative groups because of his recent homophobic rant.

Alec Baldwin, who is notoriously liberal, except, of course, when he’s bashing gays, has come under fire from conservative groups who want Capital One to pull his endorsement deals because of his recent homophobic rant. Politics really does make gay bedfellows.

The conservative groups, who have done everything they can to stop the advance of gay rights, are now suddenly aligning themselves with gay interests. Isn’t it ironic?

“It’s still a free country and Alec Baldwin can do as much gay bashing as he likes on Twitter, but it’s hard to understand why Capital One would choose to publicly condone his homophobia by keeping Baldwin on as its spokesman,” said John Hawkins of RightWingNews, a conservative news website.

“If Capital One is not going to do the right thing, then Capital One doesn’t deserve our business,” he added in an interview with Breitbart, another conservative website.

Paula Deen’s Racist Comments Could Cost Her $10 Million

Baldwin went off on London Daily Mail reporter George Stark, who wrote a report that Baldwin’s new wife, Hilaria, was tweeting during James Gandolfini’s memorial service.

Baldwin responded by tweeting: “[I’d] put my foot up your f—ing ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much.

“I’m gonna find you George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f–k you … up.” He also called Stark a “f-ckking little b-tch.”

The report later proved to be inaccurate, and Baldwin apologized for the rant and promptly canceled his Twitter account (since reopened).

Paula Deen’s World: A Racist, Yes, But Also Arrogant, Imperious

Conservatives had a field day with his contrition and compared his remarks to comments made by Southern Chef Paula Deen.

The former Food Network Star has lost millions of dollars in endorsements from Target, Walmart and Sears because she acknowledged using the n-word in a lawsuit deposition.

“Liberals and conservatives may not agree on much, but we should certainly be able to agree that Alec Baldwin’s comments were way over-the-line and completely inappropriate,” Hawkins said.

So far, Baldwin has suffered no financial fallout from the incident.
