Rachel Crow had arguably the most controversial elimination on X Factor last season, but to say the bubbly 14-year-old has bounced back would be a complete understatement.
Not only does her first EP, Rachel Crow, drop on June 26, but she has a show in development at Nickelodeon, and will be hitting the road this summer, opening for Big Time Rush on their nationwide Big Time Summer Tour.
Celebuzz caught up with Crow and talked about what life has been like for her over the last six months, and believe it or not, she referred to her shocking elimination as a "highlight."
Crow told us, "I think it was one of the strongest performances I've ever done, and so hopefully I went out on top. It was really important to me that I got my music out, and going on tour this summer, I'm so excited. I hope everything turns out well."
If you're not familiar, Crow was eliminated from FOX's reality singing competition after judge Nicole Scherzinger allowed the vote to go into a deadlock –which takes the power out of the judges' control and hands it back to the original voters – since she couldn't make a decision between Crow and fellow contestant Marcus Canty.
Simon Cowell was confident Crow would stay, but it turned out that she was the one to go home. The inability to make a decision on Scherzinger's part is what led many to believe that was the reason the Pussycat Doll singer left the show.
Nevertheless, Crow has put all that behind her, and has an extremely bright future ahead.
