During filming for this year's X Factor USA, new judge Demi Lovato told the media at a press conference that she has no plans to embark on a romance with One Direction singer Niall Horan.
When asked about the chances of a romance between herself and Niall – the couple have of course exchanged messages on Twitter – Demi said, "He's really sweet and he's one of my really good friends now.
"But no I'm single at the moment and plan to be for a long time, because I need to focus on my career and myself and my wellbeing before I think about getting in a relationship with anybody."
Niall recently said of Demi, "We've spoken. She's a cool girl so I got in contact with her. She's really nice. I don't know what's going to happen."
Well I guess now you do Niall, but also this week, Simon Cowell chose a less than auspicious mode of transportation to the X Factor USA auditions; an electric scooter!
We are of course more used to seeing Simon in limos and other prestige motors, but when his chauffeur driven car failed to materialize to drive him to the auditions in Rhode Island, he dusted off his scooter and, flanked by police outriders, made his way to the venue under his own steam.
Tweeting a picture of himself and the scooter, Simon remarked, "No car showed up for me today…."
He later added, "In Providence, talent off the chart! What's in the water here? @TheXFactorUSA."
We will of course see the auditions from Providence later this year when The X Factor USA launches its second season.
