Demi Lovato‘s fans love her. Like, really love her. So, today, as the singer/actress hits the big two-three, Twitter is overflowing with tributes to Demi.
Some just seem to be experiencing disbelief that the former child star is 23. Many first experienced her on the TV show Barney and Friends. Others, in the-made-for-TV Disney film Camp Rock. Still others in her short-lived TV show Sonny with a Chance.
Of course, some love her because they identify with some of her well known struggles (including eating disorders; she received treatment in rehab in 2010). Some because of her devoutness; she’s a Christian but also a supporter of GLBT rights. And some fans are probably just fans because they simply like her music.
But people with all sort of reasons for loving Lovato took to Twitter to express that love, many even changing their Twitter handle to mark the occasion.
#HappyBirthdayDemi was trending even before midnight, hours before it was actually her birthday, and Lovato herself noted.
