Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina and Scott Walker all attended the “Basque Fry,” an open air forum based on a tradition of “Basque Fry,” a cooked stew consisting of lamb testicles. The stew is the “main dish” of the gathering and considered a “must try.”
The event, billed as the biggest multi-presidential candidate public event west of Iowa, took place in Gardnerville, NV., population 5,600, and was attended by about 1,500 elite politicos who travel from all 17 Nevada counties.

Robert Uithoven, the head of the Cruz presidential campaign said, “A fun part of your story might be, which of these candidates can muster up the courage to eat lamb fries?” Lamb fries or “mountain oysters” are lamb testicles, parboiled, cut in half, and seasoned.
No word on who, if any of the candidates took the plunge into a pipping hot bowl of mountain oysters, however, it is rumored to be a required ritual of the event. Meanwhile, Trump And Hillary clinton attended the Iowa State Fair and dined on something barely more palatable, corndogs.
