Can't believe how misleading this article is. I mean, of course swords are legal, crossbows are not a big deal, and honestly, have you ever heard of a crime with a flamethrower?

This is just plain silly, written by someone who not only has never SEEN a real weapon, but probably doesn't have anything sharper than those silly kindergartner scissors in their house.

I think this web site caters to people of the British persuasion. To them this is shocking stuff. Keep in mind that there is a movement in Great Briton to ban pointy knives in the kitchen.

@littlelizard25- Go live in Mexico. I hear they have the strictist gun control laws there, Mexican citizens cannot posess any dangerous weapons. You will be much safer in Mexico.

You can legally purchase a machinegun made prior to 1986, if you live in a free state and comply with all of the rules. One way involves filling out an ATF form 4, getting it signed by the chief of police, paying for a tax stamp, submitting fingerprints and mugshot, and waiting a long time for processing. The papers would need to be kept with the weapon and legal authorities need to be notified whenever the weapon will be moved out of state. The ATF can show up whenever they want for surprise "inspections".

A lot of machineguns are now discontinued, you can't convert any carbines with M2 kits anymore, even if you have a vintage kit. And I don't think that canon is a black powder muzzle loading cannon. I think the rule is anything under 40mm is still tranferrable.

Flame Thrower
If you feel the need to throw some fire around, you are legally allowed to purchase a flamethrower under federal law, and 40 states have no laws against owning the weapon. Though it’s restricted in some states, such as California, unlicensed possession is only considered a misdemeanor.
