Thanks to Demi Lovato’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, we woke up with “Heart Attack” stuck in our heads and a desire to replicate her cool, studded nails.
So we reached out to our friends at Sally Hansen for tips on how we could do it ourselves, and their Nail Ambassador (and celebrity manicurist) Tracylee broke the look down for us, along with suggestions on which products to use to DIY.
First, get your products together. Tracylee recommends Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Greige and studs that you can pick up from an arts and crafts store.

Polish with the black shade and let dry completely. Next, paint the Greige polish on a diagonal from the left side of nail to the right side to create one side of the triangle. Repeat on other side of the nail from right to left for the other side.
Attach the metal stud accent to the tip of the triangle and apply a top coat to the entire nail. Let it dry for five minutes, then apply one more top coat and let dry completely so that nothing budges.
